The actor enjoyed the event thoroughly. Flashing her brilliant smile, she told us, “It’s a yummy evening, and the deserving won. Some of the winners from places like Mocha and Fantasie Fine Chocolates are my friends and I’m very happy for them. The emcee was fantastic too.”
This is the not the first time she has attended the Times Food and Nightlife Awards 2011, having attended them in Mumbai and New Delhi earlier. But she found Pune’s event very unique. “The best part about the event was that it was quick, and there wasn't a single moment of boredom. It was just the way I expected it to be,” she said.
Amrita has an old connect with Pune. And because of an increasing number of quality restaurants, she is convinced that the city is turning into a gourmand’s delight very fast. She says, “I have grown up seeing Pune grow. I love the way in which so many interesting places have come up. I’m surely going to come down with my friends and check out all the happening nightlife spots in town.” So which are the restaurants that she is eager to try? “I would love to visit Soy, the Chinese restaurant that I presented an award to,” she replied.

A foodie herself, she enjoys attending such food events and loves to sample different cuisines. “I have no preferences when it comes to food. I like to try everything. I can’t wait to try what the food stalls have.” After saying that, she joined other food lovers who were busy checking out what the stalls had to offer.
